AWARD CEREMONY ON MAY 10
The most prestigious architecture award in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, the Distinction romande d’architecture has chosen to give its People’s Choice Award (Prix du public) in Neuchâtel
The Prix du Public will be awarded by the Distinction romande d’architecture (DRA) in Neuchâtel. The ceremony will take place on Friday, May 10 at the Patinoires du Littoral as part of the Architecture and Urban Planning Festival JAU-NE-.
DRA 4 marks the fourth edition of the awards, which are given every four years. . It aims to distinguish quality achievements in the fields of architecture, interior design, civil engineering and art works, landscaping and public spaces, or significant contributions in one of these areas. It addresses any recent project in the French-speaking cantons and in the French-speaking part of the canton of Bern. Last year, organizers received no less than 313 applications. Eight winners were selected by an international jury chaired by Yvette Jaggi, former Lausanne unionist, National Councillor and Councillor to the States.
The twelve projects selected for the Prix du Public will be exhibited from May 1 to 5 at the Salon de l’Immobilier NEuchâtelois [Neuchâtel Real Estate Conference, SINE), having already “toured” through French-speaking Switzerland. The best moment to view the exhibition will be on May 10 during JAU-NE.
